Solidarity Speech for TUL-SDS

By: M.R. Framboise

Good Afternoon everybody!! My name is Rosalina and I'm a freshman at Loyola University New Orleans — here to show LUNO SDS' fraternity and solidarity with TUL SDS.

In this age where the 2nd Trump Administration is working tirelessly to erase the history, ALL SDS chapters and indeed all students must STAND UP and FIGHT BACK against these attacks. We are NOT about to just roll over and let this FASCIST puppet destroy our history and take over our country. We are NOT just going to sit by while cultures are erased, history is whitewashed, and students and families are being KIDNAPPED by ICE potentially on these very campuses.

Y'all I'm a Louisiana Creole speaker, and I know first-hand what happens when history is lost. We can't afford to surrender to these dogs. Now is NOT the time to sit idly by. Now is NOT the time to let trans students lose healthcare, or immigrants their visas, or ANY students of color their histories and dignities. We, across the country, are called to the defense of Black Students, Trans Students, Chicano Students, and ALL marginalized people.

When Trump attacks science, we stand up and fight back for truth. When Trump attacks academia, we stand up and fight back for education. And when Trump wants to bring his racist ICE secret police to campus, we fight them EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. We fight for research, for science, for truth, for justice and FOR THE PEOPLE.

PER SCIENTIAM ET SCHOLAE AD IVSTITIAM
FROM SCIENCE AND SCHOOL TO JUSTICE

Thank you time 1 million for having me and for being comrades to LUNO SDS.
