A Measured Response to Fox News Digital

A Response:

NEW ORLEANS, La. — Oct. 29th, 2025
At the time of writing, I have recently learned of my inclusion and quotation in an article for Fox News Digital (Fox News' news website).  This article concerns the mass student mobilization against the chartering of Turning Point USA (TPUSA; Charlie Kirk's former organization) on the campus of Loyola University New Orleans. It should be noted here that while Liberate and Unite New Orleans Students for Democratic Society (LUNO-SDS; an SDS chapter on Loyola's campus that is not affiliated with the university) must take some credit for the student mobilization, it must be first and foremost noted that the resistance to Turning Point was the democratic will of the student body. As was previously reported, nearly 100 students showed up to resist the campus hate speech that would have accompanied a TPUSA chapter.

I would also like to note, personally, that I gave no consent to be named in Fox News' article, nor did I have any foreknowledge of the publication of this article. And while I have anxieties of my safety following Fox's publication (and the subsequent statement by Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry), I want to state plainly and on the record to Fox News Media (and their parent company Fox Corporation), to the author of Fox's article, Mr. Peter D'Abrosca, my readers here at The Daily Salad, my comrades in all chapters of Students for Democratic Society, and to all of my friends, family, supporters, and detractors, that I am not backing down, that I will never stop daring to struggle, because we will always dare to win. I will resist any attempt to threaten minority students, to spew hate speech, or to debate whether or not certain subsets of our student body deserve to exist. The humanity of all students— of all people— is not up for debate.

It also must be noted that I am eternally grateful to the entire Loyola community that has stood by me, and more importantly, against hate speech and hate groups on campus. I hold so much love for this school and the beautiful culture and community that she has. To my comrades in LUNO-SDS, I love you with the fire of one thousand Suns, and your kindness and comradely are worth all of the struggle alone. To my fellow students, your support of this cause brings a light to my day every time it enters my mind, and to Turning Point, your hateful, ignorant, incendiary, and divisive rhetoric will always face resistance. We will resist you every step of the way.

Lastly, to Fox News, the next time you all would like to include me in a story, please do reach out for comment at the following addresses:
